Anyone experiencing problems with SD Card on the prophet?

On mine, WMP10 thinks I'm inserting a new SD card almost everytime I switch on from standby. It comes up with the usual message "A new card has been inserted ..." and then it searches for the media on the card.

I think we need a ROM update on this. Alternative is to use a different music player, that seems to solve the problem.

I haven't experienced that issue, but occasionally the device sees the card as corrupted. A soft reset will take care of that. I'm only had it happen twice and it could have been related to some software incompatibilities as well.

I do facing the same problem here sometimes, i think is just the same problem as SD card occasionally cannot be detected.. which i'm so sick of it..

HOPE THE NEW ROM REALEASE WOULD HELP!

Simple solution, don't use the crappy Windows Media Player.

Try Mortplayer for Mp3s and TCPMP for videos.

Hello everyone, I have problems too with the SD card recognition plus with the COM Manager:

Overnight (or when not using the Jamin for a couple of hours) the SD card would no longer be recognised, only a soft reset helps. Also the Wifi does not work and I cannot switch it on from the Com Manager. This issue happens regularly.

What I noticed is that when the SD card is removed, the "About" in the System Tab says that the SD is in use, although it is not there!!

This is annoying and strange. Does anyone know why this happens and how it could possible be fixed?

This seems to be fixed for me by just not installing the extended rom. There is still something quirky where my the shortcuts to my progs won't show up on the start menu correctly. But, no big deal as I use ilauncher anyway. They show up fine there and I have no sd card detection problems. Hope that helps :D
