Why unclokcing Ext-ROM ?

Can some one tell what usage ids after unlock the ext-rom ?

You can put your fav applications into this ext rom and it will install it automatically the next time you do a hard reset.,

Well, I guess there is no way to get apps on Ext ROM installed directly to SD Card, on hard reset!?
