Ok,
I'll be the first to admit it, the 2 reasons I went to WM5 was for the coolness factor and the possibility of keeping my data if I lost power. However, I've decided that after 3 flavors of WM5 roms and all the tweaks, it's still not as stable, fast and reliable as the 1.4x 2003 roms. With SD cards being so readily available and cheap now, you can carry nearly all the applications on the card along with your addressbook, email and documents so that if you do run out of power it's a simple step to reload the device "on-the-go" from the sd card.
The two "show stoppers" for me with WM5 have been the phone application performance and the random lockups and weirdness that occasionally cause me to have to reload certain applications.
Keep up the hard work, I'm sure one day it will be as good as 2003 but for now, I'm going back to 2k3.
Thanks!
