In my time with ALL the XDA's I've owned, I've used NoviiRemote and TotalRemote to access one of the underground car parks at work - having "learnt" the code from someone else's door zapper (everyone continues to be amazed by this at work!). However, now and again I've arrived, pulled up by the sensor and pressed the button on the display, only to find that the signal isn't being received. The little light on the xda display seems to suggest that it's being sent, but yet nothing happens.
My question is this, and I'm not 100% sure it IS what I think it is... After a while, even with receive incoming beams ticked, does a powersave option somewhere stop the IR port being used after a predefined time from a soft reset? When I'm two mins from work, I soft reset it and then load the IR program - I think it's worked 100% of the time via this method. Unfortunately I cannot check to see if other devices receive a beam such as a TV as I need to soft reset to let me in the building!!
Has anyone else had this kind of experience? I should add that it's happened both before and after a hard reset and complete reinstallation - as well as on both Novii and TotalRemote.
