Hi There,

Please forgive me if these questions have been asked before because I have tried searching the site & google for answers to no avail.

I am almost always within range of a WiFi HotSpot at home or work, and frequently use the net, email and MSN functions of the phone, however I don't want to end up paying Orange for unnecessary data calls.

Is it possible to completely prevent IE, MSN etc... from automatically using a connection other that WiFi?

If I were to disable these other connections would it be possible to, on occasion, re-enable data routing throught the operator, then disable once again?

For the record I have the Orange SPV M5000 version of the Universal.

Any advice you guys could give would be gratfully appreciated.

Graham

there are more advanced ways, but gprs can be temporarily disabled by selecting a spoof GPRS connection. search for VJSpoof for discussions on similar issues.
