I'm getting a new WM5 PPC next week (Atom), and I would very much like to get a norwegian version of the phonepad/T9 into it. I know that the Wizard/Qtek 9100 has a norwegian version of the OS, so it should be possible. Has anybody taken that out of the pad from a norwegian version? Also is the T9 in the phonepad app, or is that a part of the greater OS?
Hi
There are two different spelling-systems on a WM5. One is for the dictionary of Word, excel etc, the other for SMS, T9 and the likes. In total there are 3 files as far as I know, all placed in \windows directory.
Here are the norwegian ones
The file mssp2_en.lex is for the office-appz. It needs to be renamed according to the language of your OS, i.e. on my qtek it is named as _en because I run an english OS. If you put it on a French version of WM5, it needs to end with _fr.lex. Take a backup of the files present on your device first, just in case, then copy these 3 files into your \windows directory, and you should have SMS-spelling, office-spelling and T9 spelling in Norwegian.
I don't remember if a soft-reset is needed.
Hope this helps

Tusen takk! I appreciate it! :D So I can use the PhonePad from any version of a HTC WM5? Do you know where I can get that? It's not installed on those Atoms since they're not made by HTC.

dhb, I haven't got T9 spelling in Norwegian yet with these files. Any idea what may be the problem? Could the spelling actually be within the PhonePad application?

Takk for denne, akkurat det jeg søkte etter!
For å få norwegian i valgmulighetene på "phone pad" må du legge til disse i registeret:
HKLM/Software/HTC/IntelliPad/
Endre "LibraryCount" til en mer enn det som står der, og lag en ny Library register med et nummer høyere på slutten enn de du har (f.eks har du opp til Library6, lager du en ny med navnet Library7), og den må ha desimalverdien 11, som gir deg valgmuligheten til å velge norsk i "options" i "phone pad". Og til slutt må du legge språkfilen, T9NorwegianLdb.dll, i /windows.
I hope you all can forgive me for writing in Norwegian, this is my first post in this fantastic forum.
