Just looked at the MDA and the ROM is 1.8.x.x WWE but radio is 01.09.xx. Also looked at the extended ROM and the attachment shows what was included:

Can you post the extended rom to the FTP site.
It looks as though they have the updated Comm Manager template. The one that will allow you to turn the phone on/off. This is missing fromt the QTEK...

Yes, the COMM MGR is the one which is more useful than the version came with the 9100.

I have the qtek 9100 running on 2.8 rom in the US with TMo. I use the unlimited vpn account and the unlimited msging. I have never been able to get mms to work, are any of these ext rom cab files ones that would set that up? if so, can they be uploaded here?

I configured my 9100 from scratch and it works (have unlimited but I use wap.voicestream.com AP), I also have the complete as-shipped US extended ROM here (approx 6M), but I don;t have a FTP to upload to, if someone wants to host it, just let me know.

I am using the vpn AP. Does it matter? Is MMS only working with the wap AP? if so, will I be able to use the vpn dial-up through it?
I can host the files if they cannot be posted on this site. I will send a PM with my address.

Files were zipped & sent, good luck. I believe the MMS conduit works off the WAP APN, you may want to add the WAP APN under connections and check auto detect and see if that helps.

Does anyone have the entire T-Mobile US ROM+Ext ROM? I've got a Cingular 8125 that I'm using with a T-mobile SIM and I'd like to just convert the whole thing as if it were the MDA.

I could also use the FULL dump of the ROM as I have an older test version which never got the shipping ROM. It is pretty easy to do if anyone wants to do it and needs info just PM me.

Trying to figure out what this Signed_WIZ_RILEnableEONS_2.sa.cab does - the XML routine talks about enabling SPN, ONS & EONS, SPN is SAT right? What about the rest?

Ran the above cab & it places the proper entries to enable "E" for edge service, however, the registry key EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon still needs to be changed from 0 to 1.

Has anyone gotten the T-Mobile MyEmail silent triggers to work with this extended rom? I had my Qtek hard reset with the new 2.8 test rom, and used aWizard and stuff install the dumped Extended Rom contents from the new MDA.
But, even with my email configured at MyTmobile and the onboard app on device, new emails are arriving with an sms, whereas its supposed to be silent.

I used aWizard to back up my 3 roms: GSM, OS, and Extended.
I'd like to flash over to the iMate rom, but I want to keep the TMO Extended bits. AFAIK, once you flash the entire iMate rom package (all 3 roms), the Extended rom becomes locked and therefore you can't revert back to the TMO Extended rom. To do the TMO customization, you have to stop the iMate extended rom mid installation, then install the TMO extended rom cabs manually.
Although this is a possibility, I'd really like to be able to revert back to a "stock" form. Basically, everything the TMO MDA came with from the box. Backing up everything is great, but if you can't flash the Extended rom back after an iMate upgrade, it defeats the purpose.
So my proposed idea is to either unlock the Extended rom of the iMate update, or figure out a way to break the iMate update into its 3 parts: GSM, OS, and Extended. Once you do that, you can flash the GSM and OS seperately, leaving the Extended rom from TMO intact. If you ever wanted to return to stock TMO format, you'd just flash back the TMO GSM and OS roms, and your Extended would still be there to use.

Bad idea.
Some of the T-Mobile extended ROM items screw up the new Imate load. Don't attempt this.
There are only TWO CABs needed if you don't want the pukey IM client and SMS email triggers. If you do, you need to load a couple more.
Stick those on your SD card in a directory and just run 'em by hand after a hard reset with an interrupted customization. That's that.
If you want to go back to the T-Mob stock load its trivial off an SD image.

get the file...unzip it...transfer the files to your unit via active sync (or bluetooth) and install them in the order specified.

There are two items I'm looking for, ever since I upgraded my MDA rom to the custom 2.17 version that's out there. My SD backup is corrupted, can someone help. I don't want to revert back to my old rom to get the items out.
I need:
Signed_OZPocketPC.Cab and the cab file that allows me to setup automatic connections to T-mobile hotspots (the icon that shows up in the control panel). Any help will be appreciated. I've been looking in this forum for 2 days now and I can't find it. The links to the extended rom items no longer works.
HELP HELP!!
Thanks.
