Just upgraded from the Blue Angel to Cingular's 8125 Wizard and I'm like a kid on his birthday. I especially like being able to initiate a phone call from my HS850 BT. Curious if someone has the registry settings to point to Microsoft Voice rather than Voice Dialer.

Thanks in advance!

goto "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path". Change the default value from "\Windows\SDDialer.exe" to "\Program Files\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe".

Now you should be able to activate Micrsoft Voice Command by pressing the connect button on your bluetooth headset.

Thank you SO much! Works flawlessly. Curious if anyone prefers the Smart Dialer rather MS Voice? It works so nice, even though sometimes it sounds like it's on helium....

Thanks again!

Man I just love this Wizard!

VoiceCommand is much better! To complete your wizard you need to get TomTom navigator 5 with the bluetooth gps receiver.

Found this regarding completely ripping out Cyberon Voice Dial...

Will this work on the T-mobile MDA? How do you edit the registry?

Hi guys.

Oh yes... I sure would love to use my BT headset as well!!

So I changed the default value for the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path" from "\Windows\SDDialer.exe" to "\Programme\Voice Command\VoiceCMD.exe" (I am using a german device) but it doesnt work. Anybody got this trick working on a Qtek 9000?

Thanks in advance!

I tried this too and I can't get it work right. The BT button doesn't call voicecommand consistantly, and when it does, the synth speech from VC doesn't come through via the BT headset. Meaning If I say "Call Tony" I won't be able to hear VC's reply of "on Mobile or Home". This is annoying. I'm using US T-mo MDA Vario. Perhaps the path or the name isn't consistant across the board?

As for the person who got music to play through BT: is it stereo? How did you make that work? Why does that has to do with VC?

Did you also run the Registry Wizard tweak "Enable Bluetooth Receive". This is what allows the headset to receive the incoming sound from the Pocket PC. Also on my phone I have to tap my Bluetooth headset twice, but it is consisitent, and I can tell the Voice Command beep from the other tone.

Hi guys.

Looks like you need the right Bluetooth profile for this hack.

I first tried it with my old Sony Headset (HBH-30) using a "Headset" profile. I could use it for regular phone calls, but I was unable to place a call using Microsoft Voice Command. After this, I tried a Plantronics Bluetooth headset ("M2500 Mobile Headset") and this one came up with a profile called "free speech mechanism" ("Freisprechen" on my german device). This profile works like a charm; I only have to press and hold the call-button for a moment and MS Voice Command comes up.

The only frustrating thing is that the device has to be in "pda mode" to place a call using voice command. If I fold up my Qtekk 9000, it doesn't work; but at least I can use the headset in the car now.

Hope this helps

Amen

On my Cingular 8125 I didn't create any BT profile for Motorolla HS850. Typically I press the button 1 or 3 times slowly then I hear the VC response. With the 2.8.7.102 ROM the VC sounded like Tiny Tim but with this 2.16.9.101 it sounds like it's susposed to.

ROM version: 2.16.9.1 WWE
ROM date: 2/6/06
Radio version: 02.07.10
Protocol version: 413.1.03
ExtROM version: 2.16.9.101

Everything works perfectly after a soft reset. Once I close my Motorola H700 headset and reopen it I can't get the headset to activate Voice Command. I only made the registry changes and didn't try the registry tweak "enable bluetooth receive" because I couldn't find it. Will doing the registry tweak fix my problem or is there something else I am missing.

Thanks in advance.

Does voice command slow down your device? Or take alot of memory? I think the 8125 is slow enough I dont want to load it up with more stuff but this does sound nice.
