screen remains on after OS message and battery dies

Hi All,

I had this issue for a couple times now. Basically, the screen turns on showing weird OS messages, like "cannot retrieve IP address from the network" (even if there's no WIFI nor GRPS connection active) and remains on until I look at it or the battery dies. I ahev turned on the shut-off function, if the device is not used for x minutes, but that dindn't help.

any suggestion?
