Jamin + Avantgo

Im having problems with Avantgo on my jamin. I installed everything like like on my Axim PDA.... but I cannot get stuff from the avantgo server from ActiveSync. It just says, "1 Unresolved Item".

I can sync from the phone itself.... but it literally takes 20 minutes to sync 8mb of data. My PDA does it in about 2 mins in activesync.

Is it just me, or is that a problem?

Join the club. I also have the same problem with my Dopod 818 pro.
Also heard a ot of people having the same tihng with WM5 & ActiveSync 4.1.
Their suggestion is to download the latest Avantgo client and install it.
I did and still have the same problem.

However, I can sync with the Avantgo server from the device thru my office network and it takes roughly the same time as it does thru ActiveSync.

Yup, same here. I can sync if the command was initiated from the device itsef.

But it still takes me a VERY long time to sync 10mb of channels.

You all need to read a bit further on AvantGo's website. AvantGo (6.0.3006) WILL NOT sync with ActiveSync 4.1 with any WM5 build lower than 5.1.7002. Go to your Device>Settings>About screen and check your build. Most WM5 devices out there are v. 5.1.70 not .7002. You can still sync AvantGo, just not with ActiveSync. On ActiveSync 4.1 on Desktop, click on Tools>Options and remove the tick mark next to AvantGo and that will remove AG from the sync list without removing it.

I had a bizarre experience with Avantgo myself. My Jamin is OS 5.1.70 (build 14409.1.1.2). I could sync when it was in its cradle but not through Avantgo. I also used a program called Worldmate on my previous PDA/Cellphone which used to sync (even with Activesync 4.1) but, with the Jamin, would not sync. I obtained an upgraded version of Worldmate and, since I installed it, Avantgo also syncs although I touched nothing to do with Avantgo or Activesync! Go figure.
