:cry: Never happened before, after downgrade from WM5, the PDA2K works now very fine and speedy but I don't know if because of this now my SD 1GB, but I tryied also with an 512MB disappears and reappears any few minutes. My rom is the last Imate 1.40. [/b]ANY SUGGESTION WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED GUYS :D
It happens with one of my BA phones, but not the others. It seems to be caused by poor SD contacts, perhaps from inserting the SD card backwards and forcing it, or by inserting and removing the SD card too many times, or just from general wear and tear.
I bought the phone used, and it was already like this with respect to the SD card, so I don't know its full history, but I notice that it has the same problem with the SD card appearing and disappearing.
I've thought about taking it apart and cleaning the contacts, as well as checking for bent pins, and possibly bending them back.
It is probably not the SD card itself, because those pins are flat and usually corrosion-resistant. It will be obvious if there is anything blocking them.
The SD card which has problems on one of my phones, works fine on my other phones.
The fact that your problem started after WM5 upgrade/downgrade, might just be a coincidence. Or it might not. I don't know.

I think the same as you because I tryied also to clean contacs and anyway I reinstalled OS few time and the proplem still exist. Also the SD works fine with other readers. BTW do you think is easy to open the PDA trying to see if any contact is fine ?

You may try the following reg hack. This problem is found on HTC device and Dell X50V
Change the registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\]
"PNPUnloadDelay"=1500
to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\]
"PNPUnloadDelay"="4096"
OR
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\]
"PNPUnloadDelay"="8192"
"PNPWaitIODelay"="8192"
OR
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\]
"PNPUnloadDelay"="1"

I tryed modifyng the registry, anyway nothing happened. I open also the case and tryied to check contacs, no difference. I am afraid that some tracks have micro breaks. But strange is it that without sd card everything works very fine.
