What is the broadcast channel in the settings of the xda?

sorry this is not the answer.

This is a very good question, i have noticed this setting on many of my phones, i have always enabled the setting and ticked/enabled the receive channel list but never known what setting to use or anything.

What is this channel thing used for?
anyone know?

Ask OdeeanRDeathshead. He's making use of it. I have no idea, does nothing on my UK o2.

Not all GSM provider provide information on broadcast channel. Check with the GSM provider. I use Singtel in Singapore, broadcast channel do nothing. If I can receive weather info..... :roll:
