when using the wi fi on the exec i want to be able to jump on one of the access points at uni, so i select one and of it goes but never connects. how would i get it to forget about that one and try one of the other ones ? because everytime i go to uni it keeps trying to get on that same access point without giving me the option to choose one of the others. any advice would be helpfull. cheers

It should auto connect to any which are available. It might remember the old ones info but as long as thats not about it wont connect to it (although it might say its trying to).

Are all the access points at uni open and unencrypted? Do you have a log in screen once you'r on the LAN, or you not getting that far?

Seems there are lots of Wi-fi problems this weather....

dont know your location but I tried my exec at birmingham UNI, and had the same issue, it kept trying to connect and then i tried it with my other halfs xda mini s, as soon as i hit connect it asked me for a valid certificate- had a word with somebody who had it working on his laptop he told me i need to speak to IT as they need to get it enabled wasnt to sure what the IT guy did on his laptop but im assuming installd some kind of certification-
My exec on the other hand was buggerd came home and it wouldnt connect to my home wifi, even when i went into wifi manager- settings- and delted the uni wifi nework after a soft rest it wasstill there so had to fomat the whole thing.
My other half was told she just needs her normal login username and password, i assumed that it should let you connect and when you open a web page it defaults back to your UNI page so you can log in, but never got that far.
good luck.
-- dont think they will leave the uni wifi network unprotected-

hi thanks for the info
i got it working. all i did was click the orange icon at the very bottom ;eft corner of the screen it opens up a list of available networks. getting on the university network was surprising, i didnt have to do anything but when i lauch the explorer it comes up with a username and login which is the one i use to get onto a computer at uni and im off.
hope this helps get you online at uni
