I can access the files on my PC via USB using Resco Explorer but when I try with WiFi it says "Cannot connect shared path. The network path was not found." Can someone help?

Generally that means you do NOT have NetBIOS enabled over TCP/IP in your network adapter that connects to the Wireless connection. The Pocket PC must be able to ping your PC by name, and have it correctly return the IP address of your PC.

Iv used resco in the past older version and it worked i was able to access my sharedfolder on my PC, making sure my firewall was switchedoff, but with the new resco version with firewall off, i see my pc and when i try to expand folders i get a login screen (on PDA) asking for username password and domain, tried my usual stuff doesnt work might be doing something wrong,
try deactivating any firewalls you hve and give ita try if it works you can allways make an exception in your firewall to allow your pda access to your PC.
good luck keep the thread updated

Hi Guys,

Everything is working fine for me only when my firewall is off. Once my firewall is up, i get the same messages as the original poster.

I am using Norton Internet security. Can anyone please tell me what settings need to be changed in Norton Internet Security to allow my PDA to access my notebook? Would really appreciate it.

Regards,
UD.

Oh well, just answered my own question.

Just ran the network wizard in NIS and it figured everything out itself :) Streaming rocks!!!
