Is there a Himalaya camera API? (O2 XDA/iMate, WM2003)

Hi folks, I've trawled this forum, google, O2's sites, everywhere but the closest I've got to accessing the camera is either:

1) Windows Mobile 2005's Camera API
2) rumours of a DLL available under NDA from HTC

I'm using eVB to develop a mini app and need to be able to get JPEG files from the camera.

(I'm assuming the latest XDAii's are still running WM2003, is that right?)
