View Full Version : Any way to stop EDGE/GPRS session kill on END key?

This is the one SEVERELY annoying thing I've run into on the Wizard (and on the SDA, for that matter)

IF you have an EDGE session up and hit the END key on the phone - even if the keypad is locked - the EDGE session is killed.

This sucks SEVERELY. It makes Agile, for example, damn near impossible to use if you stick the phone in your pocket, as eventually you'll bump the END key and then bang - you're offline.

Anyone know a way to turn this off? Its something that has bothered me since I first played with the SDA - and MDA.

In another thread, i found this..

in "HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone" create new dword value "Flags2". set it to bin value of 8.

When I added it, I realized by simply pushing the red/end button, my gprs/edge connection would disconnect. When I removed the reg key, the problem went away. You might want to check your registry to see if this key exist and try removing it. HTH.[/quote]
