I just updated to the new rom with push email and it works fine.

But how to increase the heartbeat interval in order to save some data traffic and maybe battery?

I found some settings in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync
like
HeartbeatIncrement
InitialHeatrbeat
MaxHeartbeat
MinHeatbeat

but I really don't know how to manage them.
Thank you.

Great to listen that push email is working fine.

Can you please tell me how did you got it working (set up) and does it work with yahoo or other email servers or do i need to acquire the particular server.

Thanks

The heartbeat should be set on the Exchange server, not on the handheld.
There is a ms kb article that explains the registry settings that need to be changed.

Thank you, I'll try.
And what about those registry keys on the PDA?

That is the only article that I am aware of that touches on the subject - but this is all new to everyone.

It MIGHT be that the administrator can set a heartbeat interval on the server, then it can be adjusted on the client - but I haven't seen anything to confirm that either way.

It is very early days.

The information is now out in the open.

Everything you wanted to know about Direct Push has been posted on to the MS Exchange team blog:

The reg keys on the device reflect the settings on the Exchange, changing the keys on the device will not help since it will not change the keys on te server. And since the server decides the heartbit interval tehn you need to do it on the server :) :)
