If you don't remove your simcard that often, a temporary bodge can be made with some tinned strands of wire, a soldering iron and a gluegun. For a more permanent repair, most independant phone repair shops will do it for about £40 although the actual cost of the sim holder is around £2. And no, I don't have any :(
You could possibly butcher a suitable old mobile phone for one?

HTCEurope won't look at an XDAIIs. o2's XDA helpline may deem it B.E.R - I don't know of any 'official' repair agent that will do a solder repair, most will just say you need a new mainboard and charge you accordingly
To get the simholders you need to buy m.o.q of 100 or so. Have you checked ebay?
Richard
edit - sorry b.e.r = beyond economic repair, m.o.q = minimum order quantity.
