email on XDA exec

I have just received my new XDA exec and am having problems with my emails. I have set up a POP3 account as i did on my XDA11s which is sending and receiving fine. However i have it set to log on every fifteen minutes and after a few log ins it is clearing my in box even if i have not read the messages . I have tried changing the days that messages should be saved in the in box to no avail.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my orange SPV M2000
I have now changed the settings on the orange webmail site, so that the messages remain on the server
I then LogIn to the webmail once a month and see if there is anything unread, and then clear it out
