How do I disable the warning about unsigned applications? I know there's a registry key somewhere but I can't find it anywhere in the wiki or forums.
Thanks.

I get an error on my wizard for some reason, and the last time I tried to use it is screwed my WiFi up. Does anyone know which registry key it changes?

To disable the security warning when installing a non-certfied application, set:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\0000101a = 1 (DWORD decimal)
To restore the warnings:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\0000101a = 0 (DWORD decimal)

This key is NOT for installing. It's for running an application.
Can someone please post which key controls the install warning for unsigned cab files??
Thanks! :)

The 2.17 basic rom on the ftp site must include a cab that changes the correct registry key to disable the installation warning.
All other roms I've tried out warn me when installing cabs, 2.17 does not.
I really need to find out which key controls this, so I can turn it back on using 2.17
As I stated before, the above mentioned registry key does not en/disable installation warnings (when you try to install a cab that's not signed), it only en/disables running warnings (when you try to run an application that's not signed).
Anyone know the correct key??? :)
Thanks in advance!

The above key is the correct key - it both warns on installation and execution of a non-signed app. If you have previously installed a cab and answered yes when installing then next time you come to installing it the pop-up will not appear. This worked on my device - qtek 2.17 rom - when i set the key to 0, the warning on installation and running of non-signed apps came back.

This cab disables the warnings, but I think it only edits the registry in the way that was already mentioned here.

Trust me, I've reflased my 8125 and reinstalled all my apps enough times now to know that the install warning and the run warning are separate.
I've now reflashed roms specifically to test this registry key mentioned above, and it only changes the warning when running an app.
Using ROM 2.17 basic, changing this key only affects the warning when running an app. It changes nothing about installing cabs.
Changing this key back to default only affects running apps, not installing them.
Again, I have reflashed many times now specifically testing this key change for both scenerios.
Still searching online for the other key...
2.17 basic has the install warning key AND the running warning key both disabled - but I still cant find where the install key is! :(

I really would like to find this because I want the security of apps not being to install themselves! But I do not want to deal with being prompted every time I to run a program.
I want:
Cab Install Warning: ON
App Init Warning: OFF
Several of the ROMS here are set up like this (Including 1.08 ship). But 2.17 basic is not. It has both warnings disabled :(

The key above is correct - at least on my device (UK Orange M600). Before setting, I could not install an app (MemMaid) because it was not digitally signed (not a warning - wouldn't let me install at all). I set the key to 1, and it now installs fine.
I guess there must be something else going on on your device... is it locked in some other way to limit intalls?
Sorry that's not a solution, but hope it helps narrow things down for you.
