stupid qu - y is my mem so low

i have installed corp mode
cleared out all my start items
and used the exellent memmaid to take out all processes not essential

so why do i only have around half my prog mem free ?

around 26mb ?

wm5 eats some.....and then htc makes a lot of pre-allocated buffers (dma buffers, camera buffers, video buffers, caching and shadowing buffers....blah!) and then, it comes down to what you have right now! :D

Thats in a nutshell for you!
But, its nothing to worry, as thats ample and you'd never run out of ram most of the time....even if you do, once in a while, just shut down a couple apps....not too much of a hassle!

doesn't seem to stop anything running well ... its just an anti-climax after the 2gb just installed in my desktop .... :twisted:

hehe! I know how it feels....especially since i used an xda2 with wm5 b4 this device....and that had 128megs RAM on the contrary, with 100Megs free on a fresh boot!
