I have an unlocked 8125, but can't get GPRS working for anything. i called the orange AND blue tech support. Have tried new connections using "mmode" as the connection name, "proxy" as the access point name and no user or password. I tried with proxy server 10.250.250.54 and without. The phone ocaissionally says it is connected, but I can't get any sites cruising. It says "the connection was lost" every time I try to access a site.

I had previously tried the cingular settings, again to no avail. One tech tried messaging the settings to me (from an htc device ATT supports) but they weren't readable.

Any thoughts?

Just try the mmode support on Cingular or call 611 and support will help you for sure..

As stated, tried both orange (Cingular) and blue (legacy ATT Wireless) tech support. They both gave me info posted here and on hofo for their specific settings, but I was wondering if anyone had an idea why my unlocked phone with an ATT SIM card was unable to connect with either.

I use ATT SIM with my 8125.

To configure the edge I changed "My ISP" Connection Settings. Edit "My ISP"
and in the "Access point name:" change it to "proxy" and leave the rest default. That's it :)

When I want to use the edge I change my Network Management to "My ISP" from "My Work Network".

I had all the info except where to put / change the settings. Bullshark, you rock.
