I could so kick myself - Xda2i fell out of my pocket, bounced on the carpet and then rebounded onto the radiator pipe. I just picked it up, replaced it in it's holster. 10 mins later go to make a call, switch on and ARRRRRGGHHH!! screens smashed yet again ...

I think it just 'happened' to bounce right on a corner piece of the pipework under the radiator at the very edge of the screen and splat... a goner of a screen. It wasn't a large distance to drop though...

I'm DEFINITLEY bringing out the aluminium casing I had tucked in my cupboard to minimise this in the future!

Luckily, my insurance is speeding a replacement to me rightaway, only £30 excess!

I'll probably sell this one off on ebaY .... like the last one!

To safeguard, I suggest everyone use these aluminium covers as much as possible!

I was just unlucky it bounced in such a away it hit the corner of the rad piping!

it's ok though.. my insurance is great! they just lob out a new handset ! :)

now go make some smart ar$e comments elsewhere!!!

Just out of interest how much did your first phone sell for on ebay? I have an old one with a damaged screen adn had thought a bout selling it but didn't think it was worth a lot!

how did u manage to keep hold of the handset when they dropped the new one off?

i smashed my screen last year while taking my son who was asleep up the stairs - hit th screen on the banester.. they took my broken phone off of me when they delivered the new one..
