QTEK S200 / JAMIN / HTC PROPHET SPEAKER / VOLUME FIX

I just got my Qtek S200 and the speaker volume when hearing ringtones or using the speaker phone is really quiet. Does anybody know of a way to up the gain on this to get more volume out of it?

So was mine when I first got it. I found that when I did a hard reset and didn't install any of the extras from the extended ROM that my volume seemed much much better. Could be coincidence but I have to turn it down sometimes now and before I was straining to hear.

I set the uplinks volumes in the first HKLM\Software\HTC\AUDIOGAIN(x)\ key to 56 and now everything's fine. I truely don't understand how HTC could have set it to 16, i had to use a handsfree before to understand anything while speaking outdoors...

Hello,i have an spv m600 by orange ( same as qtek s200 ) and i try to change value in audio gain because when i receive a call,the sound is too low.I put differents values in audio gain but nothing change.I think speaker setting volume may be located in an other key in the registry.Can someboby help me ? You need a registry editor to do the job, resco file explorer has such a registry editor and can do the job very well. For me it worked

Follow the registry steps and work fine on may S200. Also can you notice the improvement in your BT Headset.

Initvol registry keys {HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPannel\Sound Categories\Ring} only changes default level ringing tone. Same way you do with volume regulator on your device.
You can notice when you change intvol parameter, your volume bar also changes accordingly and vice versa.
It is not much to do with improving ring volume :(
5 corresponds to 5 levels on a volume ring bar. Going above 5 does not really change volume :(

S200: good for me! But there is one trouble: when im going to soft-reboot my device, the ring settings (in the registry) resets back into 4, 0x4.
What should i do to prevent this thing?

I've done all the settings and registry tweaks, but my sound keeps very low.
I've put the earphone sound in max, but no lcuk.
Any other things i can do?

when i flash a wm6 rom on my jamin "HTC Prophet" it has totally more than enough load sound during the call, but when i flash back to WM5 it goes low.
How can it be done?????

My S200 has OS 2.15.7.38 ( french)
I tried out all the tweaks in this thread , HKCU and HKLM, but neither has made a difference on my device. It is true the the HKCU/.../control panel/... settings are egual to the volume bar.

So is there anone who has found a different way of getting this sound louder?
A fix?
a new ROM? ( i would need french language )

for me, installing this cab on my qtek s200, result in the first 5-10 sec of conversation to be loud, after that volume progressively goes down, like fading... :(

i observed that if i touch with the pen the front speaker volume bar, while playing an mp3 with WMP, i can hear the song.. but just for the time the pen touch the vertical scrollbar. Otherwise front speaker is in a sort of mute state..low volume on call, don't ring on incoming call.

all this started a few days ago, before everything ok. tried hard-reset the phone too but don't help.

any ideas?
