Customization i would like to share

Hi all,

i have made a CAB file that contain all the customization i like to my K-JAM. every time i do a cold boot i had to recustomize my registry manually one by one and it took too much time so i decided to put it in one CAB file this way i only need to run a single file.

so if anyone found it usefull here it is.

it do the following:
1- adds PHM trylunch to your programs
2- adds "save as: first last" to contacts
3- enable cleartype on landscape
4- increase the mic sensitivity level
5- creat a shortcut to "Runing Programs" in your windows directory so all you need is to point PHM trylunch to \windows\taskman.lnk and you will have nice icon on today screen.
6- adds sofykey applet to your settings.
7- adds a wireless today plugin < not working in all ROMs as it need a dll file which is saved on ROM > tested on latest K-JAM ROM OK.
8- adds (caps lock/shift) indicator beside soft keyboard icon when you using hard keyboard

please make a backup to your device before using this file. it was only tested on my K-JAM .

Yes works well on my Qtek.
Any possibilty on posting a version without wireless or clear type tweaks. I have old rom so wireless tweak does not work (had tried tweak before so knew that)
'btw forum anybody tried adding new dll for wireless to old rom phone windows directory?' could someone post dll so can give it a try - thanks

i have added a new file on top of the page :wink: , regarding the dll file it is on the ROM so you can't replace it with new one.

hi bill_viper,
the wireless plugin will only display the status of your Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and your operator name/Flight mode.
once you turn on your Wi-Fi it will show name of connection and when you turn it off it will shown Wi-Fi:Off.

it is not only reg value, a dll file should be installed also, here it is.

is there a reg-value that needs to be set or changed after installing .cab?

hi,

regarding the mic level you can set reg value to your choice. AA was ok for me others used CC but i noticed its very noisy on the other end and it seems for you AA still noisy so i think it is also network and provider related.

keep in mind this values are hexadecimal,,, examples:
the original value "19" = 25
CC = 204
AA = 170
99 = 153
A1 = 161
65 = 101
32 = 50

Hi, Does anyone know that the text as to be for the softkeys app, to make hte left key be new text message? The best iv got so far is:
"\windows\tmail.exe" which gives me "messaging".

I have read through the threads on the mic. sensativity tweak. I notice that under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN; AUDIOGAIN0" etc. there are many other references appearing to relate to volume etc. Is it somewhere here that one can increase speaker volume (both normal phone operation and phone/media loudspeaker), or is is somewhere else?

Eitherway, am I able to perform such a tweak and if so what values would you suggest?
