I would like a black theme instead of the blue O2 one, and it's by no means a drawback if it's Star Wars or Lord of the Rings themed, but the main thing is that it's black, or at least dark charcoal.

I suggest you check out Diggia's stuff and his forum - he's got a tutorial somewhere on how to do all black themes.

There was recently another thread on black themes, but I can't remember what it was called.

What would you really like ?

I like black themes alsy, if not only because of the contrast (when in the car !)

I also create/edit themes...

Mazam, thanks! I'll have a look there later today, when I'm done working.

Jpiek, Wow! That Enterprise was beautiful! Can you put that up for download in any way?

Voyager? Well, if you like a soap opera in space... Seriously I am in the middle of watching the full STNG series with my son down in the home theater. He's ten years old and old enough to read the subtitles fluent, and the great thing about it is that there's so many lines in each episode that he has to read a lot to keep up. So we get him to read without twisting his arm! Sneaky parent I am!  Every time my wife and daughter are watching a sobbing series on TV, we go down to the Cinema Inferno!

Edit: OK, maybe I'm a recovering geek? I just gave my children new phones. My ten year old son got a Qtek 8020, while my eight year old daugther got a Qtek 8100 music phone. You could say that I'm bringing up the next generation of geeks! 8) Of course they each have a P4 3.2 PC with GeForce 6800 graphics cards to play games on! :D

lol - so off topic, but it's your topic :)

I was at a dinner party this weekend, and the real old guys were talking about how they have to explain what records were to their kids. I've can barely remember using CDs (for music); I still remember downloading my very first mp3, "Big Willy Style" - but now look at us: children with better pocket sized computers then most of us used for years :)

As I've said in many other places, I only use my Universal for WM5 development, but when Mrs Vijay555 puts her foot down, I wash the pots whilst watching an episode of ST:TNG on the Universal. I'm working my way through the series, and then to Voyager. Enterprise never caught my attention, but perhaps after a few years' worth of pots washing, I'll get there :) We won't mention DS9.

To come back on topic: making the softkeys and startbar solid black on Wm5 requires use of some registry entries that ZeBoxx has detailed in his BaseHue thread, above, and the wiki. This modification may be required for the other non-WM5 themes being discussed here.

PS your home cinema sounds cool!

FOSA: it's not mine, it's by Diggia. Also check out ZeBoxx's various posts on the subject, he's done consirable research into full black themes.

Links are above or by searching BaseHue or VJBaseHue.
