He all, I'm running across a couple of issues in testing out the 8125 functionalitiy.

8125 with the MSFP upgrade obtained from here (Awesome Job!!)

1. when remote wiping the PDA; Whoever has the PDA gets prompted to allow following the security policies (wiping the device)

Now don't ge tme wrong, I love the optimistic attitude that someone wouldn't want to see what is on my device but it seems the unauthorized recipient of the device would have to have an IQ 2 lower than kelp to select |YES|

2. placing some directories on the mini SD fails after soft reset;
I have experimented with keeping temporary internet files and email folders on the SD card which works great... until you soft reset.. At which point the device creates a "/Storgae Card/email" directory on internal storage.

re: remote wipe.

We do not see the behavior you are mentioning. Choosing remote wipe immediately resets then wipes the machine and re-wipes it every time we attempt to re-connect until the remote wipe command itself is terminated in mobile admin.

In fact, I bricked an 8125 while testing this feature and had to re-flash to fix it. It seems that if you hit the reset button after the Qtek screen is displayed immediatly after the remote wipe is initiated, it slowly dissolves into a blank white screen and from that point, resetting won't go any further than the Qtek splash. I assume this had something to do with me resetting while the ROM was being initialized...

ok got this one solved. I had to delete the device from the exchange server and recreate the config. After this I did a wipe and poof!! no data!!

Now, any ideas how I could wipe the mini SD too?

Or better yet a way to push a specific password to the device?

Thanks,
