My Mobile Screen is blank and is not turning on. It happened by it self, I was not upgrading nor charging. Only thinking I can tell is that when ever I'm charging it is showing RED light instead of Yellow. If I remove the battery and put it on cardle to charge, cardle will show that the battery is Full by GREEN Light.

I hope it can be fixed. Would appreciate if some one can help me ASAP.

Thankx in advance

how do we change the backup battery?
can we do it by ourselves/non-professionals?
what type is the backup battery?
Where can we order from?
I am also having the same problem, perhaps someone can shed some light?

1. Yes you can change the backup batt by youselves. You'll need to unsolder two contacts from the mainboard
2. Bat. type is Maxell ML2016T17
3. Do not know where to order (here in Russia it to hard to find such type of the backup battery).

Spasiba Uvea :)

But can we be sure that the problem is in the backup battery. Because I have the same problem, I am unable to start my hima, and when I try hard reset or soft reset the screen just lits white and stays white for 15seconds, and if I put it on a craddle, it stays lit for 3 minutes (these are the values I had set in the power management). Other than that, and the yellow led light showing that the hima is charging, I'm unable to do anything at all. I am not even able to clean the registry hive (by pressing camera, record and reset button) nor even enter bootloader mode(d-pad, power button and reset) :(
Just as I'm typing, the yellow led light in the corner turns green, telling me that my battery is full. And that's it :(
I'm all ears and eyes guys, thanks,

J.

No this is not a backup battery problem 100%.
Seems that something wrong with the screen and connection of the screen to a motherboard. You can try to disassemble your Hima and check the screen connection.
Some question(s) to identify you problem?
Are you able to create a connection with activesync while hima is in craddle?

I sent my hima to a service repair center to check the soldering on the mainboard. It's not an authorized repair center, as there's none in Macedonia, it's a place for repairing digital cameras and stuff. It's the place where they changed my bottom connector few months ago, so I thought that the problem might be in the connector soldering (something loossened or something) but , I was told yesterday that the hardware seems ok and there's no problem whatsoever with the connectors and the m/b. This is how it all started:
My problem started a week after I upgraded to tofclock's 2k5 2.01wwe, and after altering the shell.exe file and the registry in order to get the clock shown in the title bar instead of the battery indicator. So after couple of days enjoying the 2k5, one morning my phone turned off, and I couldn't power it. I tried soft reset, tried hard reset, nothing. So I thought I should reflash it, but I couldn't enter b/l mode. I try leaving the battery out for some time (couple of hours) and when I place it back, the screen turns on, just a plain white light for about 15 seconds, and then turns off again. If I try hard reset, the screen lights up again (white screen, no image or anything) and after 15 seconds turns off and so on. I noticed that when the screen lights up after hard reset, if I place the hima in the cradle, the white screen stays on for 3 minutes, and this was exactly my settings in the power management(15seconds on battery, 3 mins on craddle), and the led light in the upper right corner is yellow, and after some time, it turns to green, as in battery charged. Active sync doesn't recognize the phone, I can't get serial screen, and nothing other than what I described in this post. I've tried hundreds of times the entire procedure, but nothing still.
Any ideas. Thanks,

J.

Latest news:

After many attempts to enter b/l, I wasn't successful. Now I placed the device in the cradle, the screen turned white as usual, the amber light turned on, and I received a message in the system tray in my pc the a new hardware was detected, and that XP is instaling..... After that, I received a message that the new device is Windows based Mobile Device.
And then, xp created a new LAN, but , it shows a limited or no connectivity.
why is this happening? And what is happening?

But still, when I start himaupgradeut_noid.exe I get error 101, connection error :)
Note that I only get ehite blank screen, and not serial v1.06/usb v1.06, like I had before my last upgrade to 2k5. perhaps the b/l is corrupted or something?

cheers,
J.
