I setup a trial 4SmartPhone.net Exchange account and setup my 8125 (with the AKU2 QTEK ROM) to handle push emails with my "AT&T Wireless" account.

I set ActiveSync to only Sync when items arrive. I sent a email to my new 4SmartPhone.net account and I got it immediately. I was very impressed with the service. When I sent a second email it took 10 minutes for the email to get to my device. I have tried it from different email addresses but I get the same result. Each email takes about 10 minutes to get to my device.

So my first few questions are...

Is this normal behavior for Direct Push?
Has anyone experienced this before?
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

My second problem with the push setup is as follows..

When I create the folder in OWA and my device syncs the folder shows up. When I moved a item into that folder (or any other folder except for Inbox) either from the device or through OWA it moves the message but when I check this folder in Pocket IE it shows 0 messages.

I also have "Keep copies of sent items in Sent Folder" checked but when I send a item it doesn't show up in the Sent Folder. I think this has something to do with the problem above but I am not sure.

Hi

First, I am not familiar with your particular device, but I am assuming it is running WM5. If so, I can perhaps help a bit with your problems, but not offer a complete solution.

I have the latest QTEK ROM installed on my XDA Exec and have seen and partly solved problems similar to yours.

To answer your second question first, to get aditional folders to sync you have to open Outlook on you device and select Menu->Tools->Manage Folders. You can then select the folders that you want to synchronise. Check the box next to your new folder and it will work as you want it to.

Your first problem is a bit more of a mystery. I found that I had the same problem as you until I unchecked the "Sent" folder in the dialog described above. When I no longer synchronised the Sent folder, everything worked fine and emails would arrive almost immediately. If I turned the Sent folder on again, I have to wait several minutes for my email to arrive. In your case, it sounds like you already have the Sent folder unchecked since you cannot see any mail in it. I would try unselecting all folders except inbox and see if that fixes your problem.

My only question now - and why this is only a partial solution for me - is how to get the Sent folder to synchronise and get Push email to work at the same time! I do not understand what is special about the Sent folder!

Hope this helps a bit and if anyone else can solve the mystery of the Sent folder I would be very grateful.
