O2 XDA Mini S (Wizard) UK ROM AKU2 Update out today...

The site is now live ready for it, but reports are that the ROM is not yet online. (???) (This being the AKU2 Updated ROM)

As I don't have an O2 device (mine's a Vario), I can't confirm if it there or not, as an IMEI number is required to download.

Certainly the site has been updated for it though!

Yes, at the moment the form is there to input your IMEI and phone number, but the link on the following page gives a 'file not found' error. D'oh! Well done O2. Slick, really slick. :roll:

Went wrong at 58% - error 302 I think :(

Followed recovery instructions, but just end up at 58% - 3 colour screen - recovery - 58% etc...

What should I do now??

Issue 1. No MMS Setting or MMS Inbox.

got it last night and it went on fine no problems installed all my spb stuff plus,diary and weather, resco explorer and ewallet seems to be running spritley but hey not give it a days hammering yet !! must tell you guys this after install came to sync and it needs activsnc 4.1 because i was happy with 4 i never bothered updating it so right need to get that at which point my ntl connection went t*ts up im stuck with a new rom and no way of syncing well i did laff after but god the stress lol.

mms is there waiho i had this problem before now u can run cab for it not sure which 1 it was but its posted on herethats were i got it .

I phoned the support a minute ago, and the German update is not available yet. Sorry. They were not sure, too, but they told me it will probably be available in three up to four weeks...

I have just installed the new Imate update on my XDA mini which im quite happy with. is the O2 any better because the defualt rom that comes with the phone was rubbish.

Just updated. As before, you get speed benefits by doing a soft reset just as the 3 second O2 install warning comes up, so the O2 rubbish doesn't install, and you get a nice clean install.

To get MMS folders back, download and install Total Commander. Type extended_rom in the TC address bar, and the extended rom CAB files will now appear. Execute a CAB file in there that has the words Java, Voice and MMS in it (sorry can't recall exact name, but it's pretty distinctive). That will put your MMS, voice recognition and Java shortcuts. I also run the discobutton CAB file too, which installs the GPRS disconnect button.

mms settings are

server name O2UK
gateway 193.113.200.195
port 9201
address http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
connect via my network
Send limitation 100k
wap version 1.2

I agree--I want my original O2 battery indicator back, and I don't want to pay $30 for the Omegaone indicator, which I don't like as much anyway. Would someone please upload the files for the original battery indicator here before doing the update. I don't have the original ROM, so I can't go back to the old version, copy the files, and then reinstall the new ROM.
