I am testing 2 8125's as an alternative to our ever growing blackberry user group (400+). I have them unlocked, and have flashed them with summitter's 2.17 and aku2 rom. I have sp2 on the server side and as far as I know that's set up correctly (exchange isn't my area). When I get an email on the exchange server, my 8125 automatically sync's and I get it on the device. That is the step that has me confused. I think my exchange server is sending a message to cingular and then they are sending my phone a message which then triggers my sync. And if that is the case, what is that costing me? Is there a way in the corporate environment to do it only for the data plan costs of the phone, so that every "push mail event" doesn't cost me? Or is it not costing me now? Thanks in advance...

I just read the white paper on exchange sp2 + msfp and think i have it figured it out. It's using an https connection and my data package instead of relying on sms messages, is that correct?
