Hi there,
I just bought a QTEK S200 but can't make any Activesync connection.
QTEK S200 is in German, Laptop XP, SP2 English.
I first tried QTEK Activesync 4.1 CD (german), no luck.
Downloaded Activesync 4.1 english, no luck.
Read in the Microsoft man pages, to delete rapi.dll in system32 to make a clean uninstall, but can't find that driver.
- XP Firewall is disabled
- Symantec Virus Scanner is disabled
The S200 is recognized as a Generic RNDIS device.
Q: Do I have to install a special USB driver?
Q: Is ther an issue with the languages?
thanks for your help.

There is a Win Mobile 5 patch that improves Activesync over USB, see attached. While I cannot solve your problem in the first place, at least this patch enables you to leave your firewall on during Activesync once you get it working. As per the instructions attached, copy to device, install CAB file, soft reset, start Patch and switch to "Serial Mode" (one of two options).
Funny thing was, I just installed the CAB file, and never switched to Serial. Just left it as it installed, and bingo - Activesync was working now with the firewall staying up.
If 4.1 Activesync is not working, Microsoft recommends to switch back to 3.8
Good luck

Hi helsana22,
I'm afraid I can't help but I was wondering if the German S200 ext ROM has a CAB with the German T-Mobile Settings?

I don't think should be a big problem. Maybe have some mess with your drivers, i suggest to deinstall your actual activesync and reinstall it again, actually should work.
I can just post about my experience, i have s200 and i have the old active sync and works fine.

Hello Decmac,
I bought the S200 here in Switzerland, so I don't have a T-Mobile image.

@raskal
I already have de-installed and re-installed the two different versions with the 2 different languages. No luck.
I will now use the sledge hammer and make some test with an "older" Ghost Image on my laptop.
I had the Nokia SW installed for my previous mobile. That SW can't get deinstalled in a decent way, so I assume, that maybe Nokia and QTEK don't really want to cooperate.
thanks for your feedback.

Hi Guys,
I experienced the same problems as you tell in your message.
The only way was uninstalling Activesync and making Hard Reset to my S200. :?
Later, everything was ok, at least at this moment...
