Had this problem in the past...
I was using sktools and from the tweaks section of sktools i used some of them, after a hard reset i decided not to use any more sktools and instead started using memmaid... now everything works pefectly.
Furthermore, on another device I have (Fujitsu Siemens N520) which uses WM5 I never had uninstalation problems so I conclude that the uninstalation process works o.k. and the problem is not microsoft related.
Most probably some registry tweaks is causing it.

hi,
i had this same problem from day one and from every program i have tried to install.
for the moment, i use memaid to 'clean' the memory after each uninstall, but it seems like such a bad idea.
does anyone have any news on this, is there another program that is bette at uninstalling ?
cheers,
scott
Without exception I found that if I first stop all active programs and re-run the uninstall the process completes without an error.

I tested it..mostly it works..but the problem is why we shoud do some actions out of the Normal uninstallation process.
Seems HTC ROMs have such a problem cause on other ROMs uninstallation process works fine

Install the demo version of this and enable 'safe mode' in Settings>System>Spb Pocket Plus
It's pretty nice software, anyway.
I'm not aware of any other way to reset the device in 'safe mode.'
Hope that helps.

If I plan on uninstalling something I just do a soft reset before I do it. After I started doing that I have not had any problems.
