I'm going on a trip to Australia and will be wanting to take my Dopod 818Pro along - but I'm not sure if I can get by with just bringing an outlet adapter or if i need a voltage converter... I have a 110V plug.
sorry if this is obvious - my knowledge of the actual laws of electronics are pretty minimal.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Travis,
Depends on the transformer that comes with your unit. THe local power supply here is 240 V so something that works at 110V is no good. Many transformers these days do work at a full range of voltages though. Hope this helps

Thanks evlado!
Actually that helps a lot! Just looked at the back of my transformer and it ranges from 100V~240V @ 50-60Hz...
Thanks a million!

If an adapter rate at 110~240 V/50~60 Hz, this mean this adapter can use over the world. Normally there is no transformer inside the power adapter of the mobile phone, it's a kind of power switching device inside.
