Let me assure you, it IS unlocked! There are apparently extra security measures in place on G4 devices. These are not directly related to the Carrier ID. (CID)

I just followed the procedure to unlock my co-worker G3 8125 (2.25). However after I installed (twice) the 1.05 ROM, the IPL and SPL read different number (1.xx and 2.25 respectedly). I just went ahead and unlocked the phone. I then reinstalled the Cingular (stock ROM) 2.25 ROM and all the numbers now matched. Finally I installed Moslki's 2.26 ROM with 02.47.11 radio and everything works fine now. Thanks for the instruction.

Thanks for the elaborate post. I have a Cingular 8125 - G3 and Per your post & Dr P's note, I started off to downgrade to the 1.05 ROM - but unfortunately I miserably failed. At the end of the ROM downgrade where my PC read 100% & my device read 98% - I received a General Protection Fault Error & I was unable to continue doing anything. And now my phone does not seem to proceed beyond the boot up point of showing the IPL SPL of 2.25 & the four different colors. I can't even run ActiveSync on this phone and I don't know how to get this to go back to the default ROM :-(

Did I Brick my phone??

I am a newbie and am very confused with all these rom flashes and whether the device is unlocked either cid or sim.
i have this week gotten hold of an O2 XDA mini S, G3 (learnt this today) and am totally in love with it. except for;
not being able to surf the net through my wlan broadband router even though it is connected? this is possible is it?:confused:

reflash to the tmo 2.26 rom delete everything off your computer clear your temporary files, make sure no other programs are running, redownload buttons and lokiwiz and start over. I went through the same thing it should work if you do it right.

Its because its an official carrier rom, the device doesn't have to be cid uunlocked for it to be installed. Try another 1.xx rom. I believe there is a 1.08 floating around here.

But you are a noob, right? You've made sure that you do NOT have a G4, right?

When you reset your device there are a series of numbers that appear immediately after boot but before Windows appears. Please reply with these numbers exactly as they appear on the screen. You will have to reset the device more than once to write them all down because they disappear pretty quickly as the device boots up.

Easy answer is: If you have not personally CID unlocked it then it is locked. It doesn't hurt to CID unlock multiple times, so even if it has been unlocked you won't hurt anything by unlocking it again.

Of course you can always try flashing this rom and if it takes you are CID unlocked if nothing seems to change you are Locked.

Before you proceed with unlocking though you need to find out whether or not you have a G3 or G4 as the G3 process on a G4 could very well ruin your phone.

G4's must be unlocked using the IMEI unlocker website and there is a charge for it. I would give the actual address but I don't know it off the top of my head. I am sure you can find it if you search these forums or look in the G4 section of the Wizard Forum.

I was going a little batty trying to get any third party ROMs to flash. These instructions did the trick, and I'm now running WM 6.0 Underground on my K-Jam.

I knew it had to be CID unlocked, but couldn't get lockiwiz to go with the UKU2 ROM.

this worked on a tmo mda with downgrading from the latest rom with xpls of 2.26 on the latest 2.26.10.2 ROM. i uninstalled AS 4.5 and went to 4.2, downgraded, CID unlocked, downgraded again to get matching xPLS of 1.01

this steps are to cid unlock and also to unlock sim in the folowing devices; qtek 9100, i-mate k-jam, mda vario, orange spv m3000, o2 xda mini s, dopod 838, Cingular 8125
first; you must make a full backup of you wizard before doing this , I personally use [wizBackup.exe] posted below for my backups and restores. This is not mandatory but could save an enormous amount of trouble.


I as most people with a wizard with the aku2 rom found out that it cannot be cid unlock with lokiwiz tool, you will get the following;{error:itwritedisk-an internal error occurred}.
. that is till now.
downgrade rom here ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Roms/Qtek/CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe
note- this steps is for unlocking the cid of the wizard with aku2 rom.

how to cid. unlock all wizard variants ( that have the latest rom build )
first download custom__ruu_wizard_1050412_wwe_101_11210_wwe. rom from the ftp site from the above link, unpack it and just click the romupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe to start downgrading. Simply follow the prompts.
after the rom are loaded go thru the initial setup as you would with any rom.
now download the (lokiwiz02b) from here;

Make sure you unzip lokiwiz to the root o the c: drive.
please copy the whole lokiwiz folder to the root of the drive,not the contentents of the folder!!!!!
and follow the instructions .do not forget to copy the cab file(enable rapi) to your device and run it before running lokiwiz.
Now run lockiwiz and unlock your machine, your machine will reboot itself. if yoy see an eroot while unlocking that says;

CopyFileToTFFS(cidunlocked.bin:0, 0, 00010000)
ERROR: ITWriteDisk - An internal error occurred.


this means that you device not been unloked......try again............

That’s it your wizard is unlocked. Make sure yew keep the [lock_backup.bin] in a safe place you may need it for guaranty purposes.
Now flash the latest aku2 rom from your provider.- [very important,to avoid future problems wit rom updates]
then u can flash any rom you want.
question: if i cid unlock and sim unlock my phone (after installing custom 1.5 wwe rom) and then i install latest aku2 i-mate italian rom, will the sim unlock (and cid one too) be preserved?
Answer: i can confirm that that upgrading to the latest aku2 rom the wizard remains cid unlocked.


Special thanks to the author of the above cooked rom [button] also to machinagod for the lokiwiz tool and joninla for finding the downgrade rom, molski for is input and everyone that contributed to the cause.
do not try to downgrade using an older wizard rom other than the one posted above it will not work
also this {how to} is for the htc wizard only it may work with other devices but i don’t know, so if you turn you device into a brick do not blame me. use it at your own risk
if you device is from a operator like: 02, orange etc... You will void your guaranty unlocking cid, but don’t despair, if you keep the [lock_backup.bin] file that the lockiz tool generated you can restore cid to factory default.

this proccess only needs to be done once in the wizards lifetime.

One person have upgraded to me when I bought it.
I see WM6 in forum and very like it. However I try to upgrade it as your explanation but not successful.
The first upgrade, I only run the ROMUpdateultility_Wizard_Noid, except UNLOCK CID, because you said only one in Wizard lifetime
. This is successful but the screen not change and ROM still above.
The second and some times laters upgrade, I have done UNLOCK CID first, the device has error above
ERROR: ITWriteDisk - An internal error occurred
and it auto reset, I tried some times but no success.
Pls explain me the clear steps to upgrade it.

I spent several hours trying to upgrade my ROM on my own, just hacking away. Finally, I read this and followed it step by step (mostly). The key was backing off to older ROM (1.05), unlock, back to 2.26 and finally faria-3.3. Of course, not everything was perfect (I may have skipped a step or two). Faria-3.3 got unstable and I had to go back to 2.26. It was sweet while it was working. I will try again later, but this time, I will let it settle down before start hacking into the registry.

I just performed the procedure on my vodafone VPA compact II and it's working. :) I have the button 1.05 rom running now. Still figuring out which ROM i will upgrade to.
Maybe you didn't delete the ActiveSync partnership with you phone.

The original ROM i started with was http://www.vodafone.de/business/support_download/95147_93771.html
Then downgraded to Button 1.05. After the first time IPL was OK (1.XX), SPL wasn't (2.XX), so i flashed Button's rom again. Second time both IPL and SPL were 1.XX.
Make sure that you wait long enough when you re flashing with the Button rom. The progress tends to freeze for +-3min @ 98%.

I just performed the procedure on my vodafone VPA compact II and it's working. :) I have the button 1.05 rom running now. Still figuring out which ROM i will upgrade to.
Congrats! Make sure you first flash an official 2.x ROM (TMobile 2.26 is recommended) before flashing a custom ROM or you will have issues. You need to get back to 2.x before playing with the custom stuff (especially WM6 ROMs).

Yeah, the official ROMs will change the Radio. You can pull Radio only roms from the ftp site here if you want. Personally I run the TMobile 2.19.11 UK Radio and it seems to work well here in the States.

First: Username and Password is xda (same for both)

Second: Most of the ROMs were removed due to Microsoft Demands (see the announcement at the top of EVERY page).

Third: Search is your friend. Take some time to search for things. Most of the ROMs are available via rapidshare, megaupload, and PirateBay, but you need to take some initiative to search.

Also make sure you read and understand all of the stickies at the top of this forum before you just start loading custom roms.

To answer you questions:
1) if you go to start > settings > system > Device Information > Version look at the Protocol and that gives you some idea of your AKU. Simplier is that if you ahven't done a custom rom, then your IPL/SPL will be very close to your AKU too

2) Follow the instructions exactly (so use 02b for CID Unlock). May work with 03a, but I haven't tried that (I did use 03a (I think) when doing the SIM Unlock procedure).

In terms of regular windows, its like Service Packs (as I understand it). M$ makes these available and its up to the carriers / hardware vendors to decide what will be used on what devices.

Here's the rule of thumb... As long as you don't go back to a 1.xx ROM then you can flash up and down the 2.xx spectrum (as it stands currently) without having to CID Unlock again. If you do have to go back to a 1.xx ROM for some reason, then you need to do the CID Unlock procedure before you come back up to 2.xx.

So feel free to move back to Cingular 2.25 from here. I will state that IMO, if you decide to move from a custom rom to another custom rom, you should really move back to an official rom before upgrading. Seems to remove nasties that may get left over if you move from one custom to another. (hope that makes sense).

I hope that was slow enough ;) You've taken the bait by CID Unlocking and your eyes will be opened when you flash your first custom rom... You'll never be happy with a stock rom again now. Flashing fever is unavoidable at this point. So jump on in, the water is fine!

With that said, I'm hoping to settle on this current nottoosmart WM6 ROM I'm on now for some time... I'm tired of rebuilding my phone every few days for awhile ;)

Cool, a Geocacher... I put the first Geocache in Colorado out many years ago (when nobody had heard of the term as it it had just been coined on the gpsstash email list). Its one of the oldest active caches :)

First, on backups ... when you do a backup and then flash to a different ROM, will all your phone/comm settings be reloaded when you restore, or do you have to do something special to get them back? Same for contacts?
The answer is... It depends. In most cases you are going to have to put back your comm (GPRS / MMS) settings. You can either do that by hand (which I have now found doesn't always work due to an issue I had) or by running the cabs that came from your extended rom (but you have to know which ones to use). There are numerous threads around for doing this for the different providers. I'm on Cingular and have the cabs I use for those now.

As for contacts, install the following cab on your current setup and then it will take a backup in csv format to your sd card. Then when you get to your new rom you install this again (or if you instal it on your sd card just run it from there) and it will restore your contacts. Will do the same for your sms messages too.

Reload. Your apps are wiped by doing a new rom. This is one part of the flashing fun that does get old.

Does wizbackup.exe work well for all this stuff? Or should I purchase one like SPB?
Wizbackup (if I recall) is for backing up a ROM and NOT your apps and stuff. I wouldn't use that personally. I use SPB Backup. But mainly this is just to give me a backup that I can restore if I decide the rom I moved too isn't what I want. I've never tried to do a full restore on a new ROM as I don't want system settings and stuff screwing anything up. Also WM5 and WM6 use different PIM databases, so you can't restore the PIM database from one to the other. So again, sync your phone before you flash. Then you can resync on the new ROM and get the PIM stuff back.

There is an actual app called BatteryStatus that most of us use. This is far better than the default one in WM5 stock roms. Its free too :). Latest version is 1.04.201 Beta 3 and works very well for doing your overclocking and more.

Its the same M$ one in the custom roms. I personally paid for Voice Command before doing all this flashing, so I can live with the fact that Voice Command is built into these roms. Some may feel guilt (most don't ;)). Your call, but its there for your use in a lot of the roms.

Do you have a G3 or G4? I assume your IPL / SPL is 2.26 since you went to T-Mo rom... Wizard Love is NOT downgrading. You have to downgrade to the Button ROM, then you can do the CID Unlock (y ou have to get your IPL/SPL down to 1.xx).

Great my wizzard is stuck

its on 98% then de blue/green bar on my phone turned red en stays that way it doesnt do anything anymore, after a while my computer says the installation is finished, and i get an error that has something to do with memory on my computer.

i can reboot my phone but its going straight in the boot menu with those collors, i can try the downgrade rom again but it keeps getting stuck at 98%

one thing that has appeared since CID unlocking is that i am not getting my GPRS dat connection. i was first thinking it was my wm6 rom so i rolled back to the latest tmo rom and still no dice. i have a G3 thats CID unlocked running Crossbow Reloaded but no further modifications. this steps are to cid unlock and also to unlock sim in the folowing devices; qtek 9100, i-mate k-jam, mda vario, orange spv m3000, o2 xda mini s, dopod 838, Cingular 8125
first; you must make a full backup of you wizard before doing this , I personally use [wizBackup.exe] posted below for my backups and restores. This is not mandatory but could save an enormous amount of trouble.


I as most people with a wizard with the aku2 rom found out that it cannot be cid unlock with lokiwiz tool, you will get the following;{error:itwritedisk-an internal error occurred}.
. that is till now.

note- this steps is for unlocking the cid of the wizard with aku2 rom.

how to cid. unlock all wizard variants ( that have the latest rom build )
first download custom__ruu_wizard_1050412_wwe_101_11210_wwe. rom from the ftp site from the above link, unpack it and just click the romupdateutility_wizard_noid.exe to start downgrading. Simply follow the prompts.
after the rom are loaded go thru the initial setup as you would with any rom.
now download the (lokiwiz02b) from here;

Make sure you unzip lokiwiz to the root o the c: drive.
please copy the whole lokiwiz folder to the root of the drive,not the contentents of the folder!!!!!
and follow the instructions .do not forget to copy the cab file(enable rapi) to your device and run it before running lokiwiz.
Now run lockiwiz and unlock your machine, your machine will reboot itself. if yoy see an eroot while unlocking that says;

this means that you device not been unloked......try again............

That’s it your wizard is unlocked. Make sure yew keep the [lock_backup.bin] in a safe place you may need it for guaranty purposes.
Now flash the latest aku2 rom from your provider.- [very important,to avoid future problems wit rom updates]
then u can flash any rom you want.
question: if i cid unlock and sim unlock my phone (after installing custom 1.5 wwe rom) and then i install latest aku2 i-mate italian rom, will the sim unlock (and cid one too) be preserved?
Answer: i can confirm that that upgrading to the latest aku2 rom the wizard remains cid unlocked.

do not try to downgrade using an older wizard rom other than the one posted above it will not work
also this {how to} is for the htc wizard only it may work with other devices but i don’t know, so if you turn you device into a brick do not blame me. use it at your own risk
if you device is from a operator like: 02, orange etc... You will void your guaranty unlocking cid, but don’t despair, if you keep the [lock_backup.bin] file that the lockiz tool generated you can restore cid to factory default.

this proccess only needs to be done once in the wizards lifetime.

Okay maybe it's just me but I have an 8125 and everytime I go and use a rom utility it stops working. My PDA resets to a colored screen and the rom shut's it's self off with an error.... I'm running Vista Premium but can find an answer to this problem.... I thought you couldn't flash ROM's unless the CID was unlocked in the first place? Now it's saying you can? I'm so lost....

Is there any way to KNOW the CID lock/unlock state of a phone?

I suspect that back when I tried to unlock my phone that I did it wrong. But I don't know for sure. Now I need to make sure (really sure) that it is locked. Is there a way to check for this directly?

Also, if it turns out that it is unlocked, is the lock sequence the same? (Downrev to button, load cab file, hit "L")

hehe, you can only upgrade to a G4 if you remove the chip and replace with another :p

G3 and G4 are different in manufacturing process (and other specs i'm not sure about) and that's why some bootloader files are meant for G3 and other for G4.

But don't be worried as functionality is same and you're better off with G3 because you can unlock the CID for free and flash any ROM without any problems :D

Yes. Use my tool (WST (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295038)) and check the CID status with "CID Actions" :)

I have followed the procedure on my O2 XDA Mini S.

Downgrade to Button ROM and then used lokiwiz 0.2b.

Hit U to unlock and there are no errors.
On reboot my IPL is 1.01 and SPL is 2.21

Used the WST tool and it says that my CID is still locked.

Any ideas ?

Hey guys great thread, i am brand new to all of this, so please forgive me if I sound like a total retard. I Have a 3G Wizard (Cingular 8125) and I would like to CID (and eventually SIM) unlock so I can flash WM6 onto it, however I can get nowhere near the steps to run lokiwiz, I try to downgrade to Button's 1.05 ROM and it gets all the information just fine, however when it starts running the actual downgrade my phone (or computer possibly?) kills the activesync, reboots my phone, and goes to the red, blue and green screen, and then I get an error 274 (can not communicate) but when I run through the recovery, after I pull the battery my phone turns on just fine (I think I've tried about 7 or 8 times now [I'm stubborn]) now, I'm not sure how to check my AKU, but reading through here and the Wiki site it appears I may have AKU 3? if it was ever applied to Wizards any other ideas of whats wrong? your help is much appreciated

OS version is 2.16.9.1 (took it from the same scren)

Error was communication and the number was 260 (i think.....)

My phone is working fine because it just turn off the ppc but didn't even started to flash.

Something strange is that once it was turned of and the error appeared at my pc screen (with XP), i had to take the batery of the ppc off so i could turn it on again...


So can someone help me on this ? Why isn't the butom rom flashing?

You already posted this problem in another thread,shud have waited for someone to guide you and help to solve this problem,anyway I do understand that a needy person becomes desperate,it's ok :)

Mostly people get lucky with flashing the button's rom 1.05 the very first time,some with a couple of tries,but few get stuck and it becomes a pain in the neck to get it through,but you got to have patience and keep trying for a couple of more times,it's still unknown why does this happens,well computers and PPC are very tricky,you know,;) it's all hit and trial.

As to the ERROR [260] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs when there is an “open port error” before upgrading the CE ROM image.
Solution: You can reset the device and run RUU again. If you still encounter an “OPEN PORT ERROR” again, reset your computer and try again.

Sometimes even the downloaded Rom package is also a corrupt download,it's better that you try to download Button's Rom 1.05 again from a different link and try to flash.
To unlock a G3 device it has to be downgraded to IPL/SPL 1.xx,so you can download an official k-jam Rom with 1.xx version from it's website and flash to get IPL/SPL 1.xx,than you can use lokiwiz02b to unlock SIM/CID of your k-jam.
This is also an alternative method,if your are not able to flash Button's rom 1.05.hope it'll help,good luck ;)

How did you CID unlocked ? can you plz explain ?

What is the present status of your phone ? does it load up to previous OS which you had before flashing any rom,if it does load up than download the WST tool and post the report it gives specially the 'CID action' report.I think your phone is still CID locked,
or it goes into bootloader mode (tri color screen) ?if it goes into bootloader mode,than download the official carrier's rom from it's website and flash it in the bootloader mode,when it starts working again,check and redo the cid unlocking and upgrade.

When attempting to backup my ROM w/wizBackup, I received a message indicating that I didn't have rights to backup the ROM. I suspect that is because my device has a policy on it from our Exchange server that requires a PIN to operate the device.

Is there something I can type along with 'r2sd all' to specify the PIN or get around the local device security?

I had a Cingular 8125 motherboard transplanted into a MDA Vario housing. It worked and was unlocked for T-Mobile and email/data worked fine but the splash screen and Cingular logos branded thruout bugged me. I tried several times using the above instructions and files and my laptop bailed every time. I called a freind to come over with his laptop and everthing worked flawlessly. What was a Cingular motherboard transplanted into a MDA Vario housing is now runnning the newest MDA Vario software from T-Mobile. You are the man Fario and I trust your advice. Moral of this story is if things don't go right do not blame it on XDA developers or authors of posts. Persevere and try and try again and if all all fails try another system to run the software and trust that it works. I spent 12 hrs last night to repair what appeared to be a bricked phone. I tried again because I believed and I now have what I want, a T-Mobile booting phone. Thank you Faria.

Sorry to be bringing an old thread to life again, but I'm lost.

I just got a Cingular 8125, and want WM6 flashed to the rom to get the functionality of a program. I've followed this walkthrough, but I can't get past the WizBackup part. I know that sounds reallt sad, but when MTTY comes up it only shows Com1 and Com2. There is no USB available. My Desktop is using a Biostar K8M800 (http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=K8M800MAM2) with USB 2.0 and a Via chipset. Is this a cause of conflict of some sort, or is it just my stupidity rearing it's ugly head again?

For now, I'll hold off on flashing till I can backup. Thanks in advanced for any help you can give, and what a great site! full of useful information!

I followed the instructions above and it worked perfectly but it only downgraded my IPL. Reading MANY threads I saw that if you try downgrading (I believe its refered to as the "button" rom) and it doesn't downgrade the SPL that if you insist (sometimes upto 7 times) it will eventually downgrade the SPL as well. I tried more than 10 consecutive times and couldn't do it. Is there a way to downgrade the 3.08 SPL so that I can unlock the CID with lockiwiz?

I also tried the original Cingular ROM and it isn't accepted (I think because I have a higher SPL than the original 2.26), tried using the ShellTool, Tried SoftSPL too but none worked.

Any suggestions or am I doomed to stay with WM5 and not be able to unlock the CID to try other roms? I also tried using the SoftSPL to UPGRADE to WM6 since one of the threads said this was possible, I did the step by step and it worked perfectly but didn't upgrade the OS.
Any Help is very welcome singe I spent the last 14 hours on this.

They are SIM unlocked,that means you can use any sim of any carrier to use,but if you are looking to upgrade to any latest wm6 Roms,sure you'll have to CID unlock your device.

A big thanks to faria and everyone else who either posted replies - or was kind enough to identify any and all errors incurred.

Bought a well maintained 8125 off ebay ( IPL / SPL 2.25 ) and after about a month of lurking here - reading each and every post on this subject - finally decided to give it a go.

Coming from the measure twice / cut once school of thought, I printed and went through all the sticky posts on this subject - downloaded and prepared all the files - and then followed the instructions - not skipping any.

Initially had communication errors / not the battery related ones, so figured there was either a setting or a hidden program on my PC I was missing. After five communication errors - and five recovery processes, I decided to unplug all external wires, etc ( cable modem / printer - everything ) From that point, the Rom upgrades, unlocking programs - everything loaded and set up without a glitch.

I'm currently running the XDA Mobile 6 ROM cooked by mfrazzz,and am very happy with the upgrade.

So, again - thanks for great details, worked like a charm.

Hi, I'm very interest in unlocking CID for my XDA as I've just changed to a sim only contract with Orange and have found that whilst I can make calls I can't send or recieve text messeges probably due to being unable to access the phone settings with the orane sim installed. I do have an unlock code supplied by O2 but haven't a clue haow to use it as the phone doesn't behave described in the instructions for using the code..ie dosen't complain at all that the orange card is installed so no option to input the code is displayed.
I've read your unlocking intructions and all seems realatively straight forward...but just have one question...How do I find out if my ROM is pre or post Aku2?

Your phone is already sim unlocked if it accepts the orange sim :) as for finding out if its aku2 press and hold the two top buttons either side of the phone and reset using the stylus you will get a tri coloured screen on there will be your ipl and spl if they are 1.xx then you are not aku2 if they are 2.xx then you are aku2 also if it is 1.40 or 2.21 then its g3 if its 1.40.00 or 2.21.00 then you have a g4 device, pretty important to know if you want to upgrade the rom, plus the numbers are just examples they could be different to what i have wrote, just note that any numbers after mean it is a g4

Well,if you want to back up your present rom you can do so by using the sdcard method with 'Mtty' commands but for that you got to have an CID unlocked phone,if you want to back up your contacts and sms messgs ,use 'PIMBachup'.
you cannot save your network settings though,but you can always restore the nertwork settings after wards.

I've done the whole Progress without any problems:
-> Button 1.05
-> Lokwiz Unlock and CID-Unlock
-> T-Mobile 2.26

It took me only one hour, but was very scary from time to time looking at the stuck progress bar :p.

Now i'm going to flash blackdiamond 3.1! Let's see, how it works. I'm looking forward to WM6, WM5 really sucked!

And I realize i can t connect no more with the pc via Activesync.
It apears is the cuse of missing shortcut to "USB to PC" where is located the Advanced Network.
SO if i can t change the checked box , i can t use the lokiwiz02, or any version of this, because they use the activesync connection, and my pc is seeing the pc like a LAN.

Can tell me pls someone what is wrong here, or what i donne wrong. Because i think i flash it right. ANyway, i tryd to install any other rom, al always remain same rom (1.5.4.2 with IPL/SPL 1.01)

You'll find the "USB to PC" options in your phone
Start--->settings--->connections--->USB to PC--->Uncheck the box "Enable advanced network functionality"

IPL/SPL 3.08 won't let you downgrade to older Rom,first try to downgrade the IPL/SPL to 2.xx and then try to flash an older Rom.

Everybody is explaining how to make a CID unlock - but I have more complicated problem!

Could someone to explain me how to make a CID unlock if I can't start ActivSync?:confused:
My phone is sticking on the starting window and it can't connect true the USB.
The only connection that I can made is in bootload menu - in it I can install every ROM, but nothing's changed - it's always stops to the starting window!:mad:

Ok, finnally managed to boot up one of my wizards, the date on it was 2008!

for the activesinc problem go to settings and in "USB TO PC" untick the "enable advanced network functionality.

I have an HTC WIZA200, but still a Begginner in rom upgrading.

Got the rom HTC.Wizard.Faria.WWE.CE.v5.2.318.AKU4.0.0.01.WM6 from this forum, but when my phone gets the three colors for upgrade... i lose connection and the software gives an error.

the info i have with the three colors screen are ipl 2.21.001,spl 2.21.olip

What am i doing wrong?
