yeh i have, i have to say so far im pretty impressed, it seems alot more stable, and the new coms manager, looks alot prettier...
overall, i recommend the update from O2, no problems installing it, and SPB Backup worked a treat...

Does SPB backup let you restore your data after a rom upgrade? I'm using Sprite Backup and it doesn't support this yet.

I tried it as well and I have to say I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with it. :( :( :( There is NO A2DP support. It uses 2MB more than QTEK's ROM with AKU2 and A2DP, that is without installing the Ext ROM and with QTEK's Ext ROM installed. The 2MB difference alone turned me away from it. I saw no diffence in signal strenght when using O2 or QTEK's. Stability wise, I have not encountered a system freeze with QTEK's in the 2 weeks I tried it, and I am a "NUT" when it comes to the system freezing on me.
For the least, this O2 update is only comparable to the latest IMate update with only AKU2 being supported. :( I can see why somoene who have not tried the QTEK ROM can say this is a more stable ROM than the old O2 ROM because it is, but definitely it can not surpass the functionality and stability given by the QTEK ROM. So I switched back to QTEK's, I did not bother to find out if it is stable or not since I don't have any problems with the QTEK ROM.

this is true, i havent tried the QTek Rom, as i dont wanna void my warranty...
but i am slightly tempted to say the least!! one thing that has pissed me off is the Video button, within the Phone App, is still take, and unbubble like like the others (corporate mode)

i have a t mobile mda pro, im sooooooo confused as to what rom to try?
My current details are
Radio 1.06.00
Rom 1.20.32
Ext Rom 1.20.120
Obviously i dont want to mess it up, from reading around it seems the imate is favoured by most?
is there really much to gain from these upgrades?
So can an anyone recommend a better rom?

But does sunny soft support restoring after a different ROM upgrade? That is the most important thing aside from just backing up and restoring as any backup software can do that.

Sunnysoft - like others - can backup all information excluding ROM-files.
So, yes, you can restore all your datas, but I wouldn't advice, because with your old registry, and old settings, files it would be unstable. But it works.

If I don't need push e-mail and I've got radio version 1.06.00 and I like the battery icon the way it is, is there any point in upgrading to the latest O2 ROM?
Any thoughts and advice gratefully appreciated.

I have 2 XDA Execs, one for testing / backup & one for real use.
I have updated to the latest O2 firmware on the real use one & it is much better than before. Works faster, not crashed & seems to be better designed. :D
Today I have downloaded & installed the Jasjar, Qtek & just doing the standard Universal (great instructions here .....
(http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Instructions%20for%20those%20wi th%20Country%20Code%20error)
upgrade. I can't see any difference in the image sizes on the PC, I am not techy enough to see major differences on the XDA.
I use it for most things but don't care about Bluetooth headphones (really, get a proper device, iPod).
If you aren't techy & have an XDA stick with the O2 software - it loads easily and works much better. I will be evaluating the other software but from first glance I can't see too much to get excited about in the other versions, & not enough to have wasted as much time as I have already done !

If you set a password, the open up, you cannot change the lock out time if you aren't actually using it. ie, running tomtom on car charge, keeps timing out. - stupid!!!
