2.17 ROM for Cingular 8125

Hello, I am having a Cingular 8125 with the Stock ROM.

People say 2.17 ROM is good and faster. Is it really? Is there better ones? I dont need to waste more memory, but have good performance. is the 2.17 ROM a recommended upgrade? If so, where can I download this ROM?

Btw, I am using the 8125 Unlocked with another network. If i upgrade to this ROM, will it mess up things?

upgrading the rom is totally up to you. yes it is faster, especially with the reg tweaks, and it does offer push e-mail. it shouldn't cause any problems with the unlocking. so as i said, it's all up to you, if you really want to, go right ahead.

I was in the same situation as you at one point...

Upgrade to 2.17. It is WAY better than the stock rom. I did not lose any functionality. You won't even know the difference except for the added features and WAY better performance.

Do it. Plus, you don't even need to unlock your phone to upgrade to it. DL the installer and run it.

Thank you very much. Can you please tell me, where I can download this new ROM for Cingular 8125?

Also, does this install an Extended ROM? Whats the purpose of the Extended ROM? Is it worth installing it, or if it's possible to skip it, is it worth skipping it?
