Has anyone compiled the sample application SMSIM in WM5 SDK?

Has anyone compiled the sample application SMSIM in WM5 SDK? I have not installed the dev tools yet to do this myself. I was hoping someone may have already done this. I loooking so much to a chat style sms client.
