I noticed that on folder "/Uploads/Uploads/" of FTP,
There is already a ROM called "UNI_DOPOD_ASIA_130111_130230_11100_WWE_Ship.exe".
I believe this is just the updated D900 ROM.
However the size of the file uploaded is just 700KB!!

Could anybody pls kindly upload the new ROM for me!

I think it doesn't differ much from the others (i-Mate, Qtek & O2) & according to dopod it does not include A2DP. Just like computers, after formatting it seems faster.

Not sure about the radio since it has newer version. I'm the type who just like trying new rom, but not the kind to explore much :) .

Just finished upgrading, my initial impression:

Boot Speed: seems to be much faster. Starting from booting to entering PIN takes less than 60 seconds. It takes forever to boot on i-mate/Qtek.

My conclusion, use the Qtek ROM if you want both push email & A2DP. This ROM also seems to be the fastest.

Just finished upgrading, my initial impression:

Do not use Qtek rom it is one of the worst rom that i have upgraded. DOPOD 900 1.30.111 is one the fastest & stable roms that i have used.

Battery life about the same as other new roms.
Phone signal slightly weaker than 1.09.
Waking up from off as fast as Imate rom.

Big question is always if it just shows the signal-strength weaker on display, or that the signal is really weaker?

Could someone who tried this radio-version check if it connects to the networks (GSM, UMTS and wifi) under critical surcomstances better or worse?

I updated succesfully :)

Much more quicker (response & click time), radio (in terms of bars shown) a bit weaker, but still work in "critical" places as before. Much more stable (as far as I heard), but I did not have time to check, give me a time ;)

Some minor changes in

The only shit it makes - some (5-6) pixels appeared in photocamera last night (there were not before), but this morning they gone.

So, good job done from Dopod (except may "stereo BT"), but I don't care so far ;)

A strange thing I found after upgrading.

I have some applications require the different storage card name instead of "Storage Card", everytime I can modify the registry and make it works. But this time, I just follow the exact steps but my SD card always shows "Storage Card". Any hints on this?

I couldn't find the .zip file anywhere, so I right-clicked the .exe file and using winrar. With winrar, I extracted all the files, copied "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" into the folder containing all the extracted files. Then...

Hold the Power button + Light bulb button, and press the reset pin found at the back of the device.

Connect back your device via the USB cable.

Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe

and voila! it worked!

Sit back and let it do it's thing.

Been using it for a week now and no problems, found it more stable than the O2 ROM.

Try downloading and installing again, might have become corrupted during the install process, it happens every now and then.

I just download the Dopod 900 - Traditional Chinese.

This seems some feature upgrade:
1. New connection control Interface.
2. Video call function control
3. New RSTP steaming program

Tis WM5 is still no terminal server client...........

I'm very impressed with it - it seems absolutely rock-solid stable and fast enough - I love the reduced boot time, too. I always ended up with instability issues with the most recent Qtek ROM.

I'm not sure if it's to blame, but I've so far not had any duplicate entries in the notification queue with the Dopod ROM - whereas they'd appear constantly under the Qtek ROM, to the point where I'd get the alarms without notification bubble issue.

Another nice feature is a new Cyberion Voice Commander v1.6. It does pretty much the same as MS Voice Command v1.5. Located in Extended ROM.

Highly recommended.
