Hi all,
I am having a problem with a friend's i-mate Jam (italian sw).
After a long period it was unused, when it was connected to my friend's
laptop, he was unable to use activesync as Windows reported "USB device
not recognized" even if in precedence all was ok on that laptop.
I tried first on my laptop, than on my desktop, uninstalled v3.8 activesync
and installed v4.1, tried at least 4 different cables but nothing was useful.
So I thought there was something wrong with its firmware. The only way
to get a connection to activesync was through bluetooth.
Upgrade program (JAM_ITA_11204_154_11210_ship.exe) reported this info:
from
Versione immagine CE periferica: 1.03.04
Versione immagine estesa periferica: 1.03.151
Versione immagine del telefono periferica: 1.01.00
to
Versione immagine CE periferica: 1.12.04
Versione immagine estesa periferica: 1.12.154
Versione immagine del telefono periferica: 1.12.10

After some minutes of upgrading it reported a connection error.
Then it started as after a cold reset but at the end of sw installation it shows bootloader screen with no backlight and the text serial 1.0.
Even in this state if it is connected to pc it is not recognized by windows.
If it is hard resetted again all start again with the same bootloader screen
at the end.

Is it possible to use the SD bootload to load original files or another way to do something?

Sorry if I wrote a lot and for my english.

Thanks in advance,
Gianni

ok, no ideas?
I studied a little more so may someone tell if the following
way may be ok, please?
Once extracted nk.nbf from original upgrade file,
I convert it to nb1 format using the command
nbfdec -d nk.nbf nk.nb1
then put it on an sd (filled with 0) using
ntrw write nk.nb1 [SD driveletter]
and than a prayer.

Is this procedure correct?

Thanks in advance,
Gianni
