is there a way to stop the message tone when you press a button. like anormal phone? cos it keeps ringin in class and i cant shut it up

You can assign a key to your left soft key to dismiss the notification, but I'm doubt it will stop a message tone halfway. You need to have a shorter message tone or just keep your phone in vibrate mode :)
