Hi I have a xda lli with a cracked screen does any one know if i can fit a xda ll screen please thanks in antisapation :roll:

No , The conector with the mainboard is different

If by XDA II you mean Himalaya and by XDA IIi you mean Alpine, then I swapped LCDs of these two with no problems whatsoever. Connector was the same and the screens were identical. As the guarantee seal was present on both gadgets before the swap, I assume that these LCDs were original.

there are two different types of screens in the Himalaya
one of them is the same as the screen in the Alpine and it has the same connector and it works perfectly with it (it tried it)
and the other one is totally different and it has different connector

Hmm, it seems that I have been very lucky with the LCDs. Is there a hardware designation somewhere on the gadget or you have to open it up to know the con type?

yes you can see the diferent between the two screens in this picture
the one om the right is the one with the screen type 2 whick works with the alpine and you can see that the light is bright in this one
but the other one on the left (type 1) doesn't work with the alpine

Does anyone know whether the touch panel from XDA II will be able to fix to XDA IIi ? I am having problem with my XDA IIi(Alpine) it seems the touchscreen is not responsive. I have already tried opening the Alpine check the connectors it seems to be okay so i am suspecting the touch screen is the fault. I have found this website http://mobile.brando.com.hk/TouchScreenO2xdaII.php selling the replacement touchscreen but it stated there XDA II. Will it be a match for Xda IIi? Will it be easy to fix? Anyone with experience please help. Thanks.

after some time i got a qtek 2020i, screen ok but touch screen seem iffy can touch screen be changed or is it scrap ? my old touch screen seems ok looks like 4 or 8 solder spots on back but not sure please help thanks again

I disassembled my 2020i because the touch screen stopped working. The part # for MY screen is 60H00022-03. Yes, its the one with the ribbon cable and plug on the side of it. I was able to purchase one at Ebay. It was from China. I will report on it when it arrives. It's a little tricky to open the PDA, but I was able to do and so should you...

Its the same as an XDA IIi.
