Ok so I've been using a wm2003 pda for some time so have been running AS3.8 on two machines and everything was fine. I get my vario and install as4.1 on both the machines ... One behaves perfectly however the other one insists on unticking my "Allow USB connections" box resulting in a "connection disabled" state. Once I re-tick this box everything is fine it just bugs me to have to keep reenabling USB.

I've done some searches but not found quite this problem, has anybody else seen this or know how to fix it ?

The only thing I can think of is that the machine with problems uses XP's fast user switching and the other machine doesn't

Many thanks

I don't believe it is a firewall problem since the machine that is having problems doesn't run its own firewall since it sits behind a "Proper" hardware firewall. Syncing works fine but AS seems to have a mind of its own and keeps unckecking the "allow USB connection" box.

Actually did some further testing last night in a bout of insomnia. It is definately* something to do with the fast switching, it appears to only happen when I switch to an alternate user and then back.

So now to see if there is a "fix"

* for some values of definately ;)
