QTEK or I-MATE latest ROM for speed , robustness

I am looking into this forum and haven't decided yet which it is the best ROM. I am having the latest i-mate ROM and my jasjar performs quite well so I was wondering is it worth it to upgrade to the QTEK rom only for speed ?
From what I see here is that people have different opinions about qtek rom so I was wondering on what do you think about this.
Some people also say that qtek rom is lighter than i-mate , but I had removed the skype and all the neccessary software anyway.
I had also removed the Operator registry and now the phone function works a lot faster .

I mean the operator logo , is a registry hack found in the forum and then the phone app becomes smaller and faster.

Which is the smallest but fastest ROM? Like a ROM image that will give me more storage on my Exec. I have done the Extended ROM unlocker, but I prefer to have a smaller rom image.
