Hi,

can someone help me before I rip all my hair out! lol

I just installed tomtom version 5 on my MDA Vario but I can't seem to get the tomtom to recognise the bluetooth receiver.

Can someone tell me a simple solution please where I don't need to edit anything.

I need a DUMMIES guide! :)

I would really be greatful if someone could upload the prog. or software that would solve the problem + clear instructions.

Thank You

Hi

I am using XDA II , I think tomtom setting is same. after installing tomtom you need to pair the phone with reciever. Once paired goto settings, system, bluetooth settings.
Make sure you have 'ticks' place in 'Bluetooth Serial Port settings'
Inbound Com port : Com4 ( activate by placing tick )
Outbound Com port : Com5 ( activate by placing tick )

thats all the setting for bluetooth you need on the phone.

Start tomtom and goto 'Change Prefereance' and then Show GPS status.
in there you can select your reciever type and then in configuration menu select com5, it should pick some sattelites. on mine it takes a little while to pick the signal.

On the tomtom gps connection menu BT is listed as Com 6 (it is on mine) but that is incorrect, so you need to select Com5. I tried both com4 and com5 and it worked, so tried both com ports.

I hope you can understand what i am waffeling on about :) .
