After receiving some positive answers to my previous thread I decided to invest in a Universal. I went to a store which actually had a Qtek 9000 running and decided to try it out before paying. Browsing the web with Pocket Internet Explorer over 3G went quite smooth but to my huge disappointment Pocket IE was usesless in handling webpages using lots of tables (IE just kept resizing the page so I would get lots of scrollbars over the entire webpage, making it unusable). I tried changeing a few settings in IE but only succeded to change the page rendering into single column which made things even worse.
The webpage in question was www.sl.se.
Now to my questions:
1. Was I just plain stupid i.e. is there a way to change the settings in PocketIE so that the webpage is displayed without any resizing whatsoever (and so that one can scroll over the entire webpage)?
2. Is there any other browser software (i.e. Opera) which would support normal rendering of webpages.
Maybe it is just me who is stupid but if you have a device that support 640x400 resolution why not enable normal rendering of webpages. Normal wepbages are made with 800x600 resolution in mind, thus the amount of scrolling back and forth should not be to big of a problem.
