Where can I get the TomTom version 5 working with USA maps?

Hi all,

I've been searching this forum, looking at many different threads, but I still can't find the solution to my problem:

I can not use the the USA maps v566 (regional and city) with higher versions than 5.00 of TomTom 5 (yes with TomTom 5.00 -bakonl version- but unstability makes impossible to navigate anywhere).

Could you help to find the right SW version (emule or whatever)?.

According to the forum answers it seems that there is a problem with the SW version when trying to open that version of maps. But also is shown that there are people with working 5.10 or 5.21 versions (stabel versions) and USA maps (version not specified).

If any of you are using the TT 5.21 with the USA maps, could you please post here the USA maps version?.

On the other hand, and i order to avoid references already analysed by me, I have tested all the workarounds shown in all the following threads (changing the CurrentMap.dat, having in the SD more than 1 working map, etc) but still impossible to manage:

TomTom 5.21 freezes

I don't say this to be a troll - I spent a ton of time a couple of weeks ago doing the same thing you are - downloading every version (of both the maps and the app) I could find, making all the changes listed on this site and others, all to no avail.

I finally gave up and just ordered it - got the CDs, installed it without a single hitch, and it works great. I'd give you the map version that came on the CD with 5.21 but I had to hard reset this morning (for a non tomtom issue) and won't reload tomtom until tonight. I'll let you know then.
