Hey guys.
First let me introduce myself, since this is my very first post :). I've been a fan of the BlueAngel for quite a while now, and just yesterday I managed to pick up a broken one for myself. The damage isn't too bad, the touch screen is cracked (not functional at all), and I've already ordered one off ebay. In the meantime, the device is usable, either through Pocket Controller, or just through its built-in keyboard + buttons (ahh, such a pain ! :D).
Being the gadget freak that I am, I clearly started looking up OS hacks, and ran into this board. When I found out that the device can run WM5 ->
So, after going through some Wikis and doing a few thorough searches, I feel the need to ask the following two questions:

1. My DeviceData.txt reads the following: PH20B 0 B WWE E 00000000 1.40.00 0 0 1.12.00 12.00
Does that mean that with WM2k5_v4_R2.1\WM5_Ivan_upgrade I should use SetOperator.bat 00000000 ?
2. Can I go through the whole intallation/upgrade process without having a fully functional touchscreen ? :P
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

hmm, sounds corrupted to me, but try it, if it refuses then it didnt work.

I dont think you will get very far without the touchscreen as it wont let you get past the 'align screen' bit

I've gotten past the allign screen, that's no biggie. All you need to do is delete the "Welcome" shortcut from the \Windows\Start Up\ folder :). At least that's how it's done in WM2003.
If it refuses then it didn't work.
I'm not sure what that means, but I'm not looking forward to bricking my unit. If it "won't work", will it just revert back to WM2003 ?

Well I finally did the upgrade as planned (I'm a fiddler ) and I can say it sorta worked. The phone is running much slower than it did in WM2003, but I was somehow expecting that.
Now something very weird is happening: on certain soft resets, the first two numbers on boot out of the three (I believe R and G) aren't there. The screen just says "none". Now on the next soft reset, they're back up, and the phone actually works. How weird is that, huh :).

Thats quite normal:)
Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=47817&highlight=

And one more thing - when the R NONE appears and you do not soft-reset you'll most propably loose your e-mail accounts settings

You're right, it is normal :) Thanks a bunch, guys.
That's good to know. All I need to do now is solve my damn WiFi issues. I'll look it up, maybe it's the ROM's fault.
