How Much Memory is safe?

I have an MDA Vario that is rebooting.

How much memory is a safe margin to stay above before it might reboot?

I used to have a Motorola A1000 and anything below 4 or 5 meg could cause a reboot.

Any thoughts out there?

Anything below 6-8 MBs on WM5 might prove shaky.

Thanks for the reply, mine was just below that and was indeed flaky.
Could explain the reboots.

After a hard reset and a careful monitor of installed programs, it is above 25 megs now and so far stable.
