switching on wifi

Is it possible to switch wifi on with a single tap to the home page instead of the 3 presses i have to do at the mo.

Probably doesn't work on your phone (yet), but give VJVolublis a try and then shout that it doesn't. I'll be doing a big update some time soonish.
